A Bangor man sustained life-threatening injuries in a Saturday evening motorcycle crash in Fairfield.

According to an article on the WCSH 6 website, the crash happened just after 7 PM on Saturday evening..  Maine State Police were called to the northbound on-ramp near Fairfield.  When Maine State Police troopers arrived, they found a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle lying on its side and several bystanders had already jumped into action and were doing their best to help the driver, performing first aid right there on the side of the road.

The injured rider has been identified as 40-year-old Kyle Trull, of Bangor.

According to police, he suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing into a guardrail. Emergency crews first rushed him to MaineGeneral in Waterville, but his condition was so serious that he had to be flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

As of Monday morning, he was still listed as being in critical condition.

Our thoughts are with his friends and family during this difficult time.

Without insinuating blame (the investigation is on-going, after all), we want to remind you to please watch out for the motorcycle riders on our roads.  Please give them the space they need.
