5 Arrested Following Lengthy Maine DEA Investigation
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, a month-long drug investigation in Aroostook County has led to the arrest of five people in Caribou following the execution of a search warrant on Sweden Street.
According to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Caribou Police Department, agents with the MDEA’s Aroostook Task Force, along with the Maine State Police Tactical Team, carried out a search warrant at 206 Sweden Street on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Investigators say the warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity at the residence.
During the search, authorities reportedly seized more than 200 grams gross weight of fentanyl, along with a sawed-off 20-gauge shotgun.
Police say the amount of fentanyl recovered led to aggravated trafficking charges for those arrested.
Those arrested included 49-year-old Jose Rosado, 49, of Caribou. He has been charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Fentanyl), a Class A offense. His bail was set at $10,000 cash.
