Can You Help Connect This Hiker With the Central Maine Man Who Gave Her a Ride?
Yessi Cue needs our help.
Yessi is an avid hiker who has been working her way down the Appalachian Trail. On Wednesday, September 11th, she received a ride from the Augusta Elks Lodge to a convenience store a few miles away.
Based on what she said in the post, it sounds like she was dropped off at Douin's Market & Diner in New Sharon, Maine.
Unfortunately, she accidentally left her Garmin InReach GPS in the man's truck.

Since realizing the device was missing, she has worked feverishly to locate the man. Yessi has posted in several community groups, including the Belgrade Lakes Maine Community Facebook page.
Her post on the page says, in part:
I dropped my garmin inreach mini (it’s bright orange) in the passenger seat of the truck. Unfortunately, I don’t recall the name of the driver, just that he cuts trees for a living and lives in Belgrade and his children are grown up and no longer live in the area (and had plans to hike the AT!) He mentioned an elbow injury on his left arm.
If you have any idea who this man could be, you can leave a comment on the post in THIS group
