The 3rd Annual Kennebec Brewfest, present by Highbrow, should have been a live event, as it had been in previous years.  But, due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines, the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce had to get crafty with ideas on how to keep the festival alive during this pandemic.

The Kennebec Brewfest went from a live event where you could taste several locally made brews, to an in home experience where you get a box filled with Maine beers, wines, and ciders. When the first round of Kennebec Brewfest boxes were released they sold out in under three hours, far exceeding the expectations of the Chamber.

Over the past week, the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce worked diligently with local wineries and breweries to make 100 more Brewfest boxes per customer demand.

According to a press release from the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce they have listened to those request and restocked the 3rd annual Kennebec River Brewfest boxes. These boxes include a 12 pack of beer in a variety of flavors from several breweries, wine, ciders and even some swag.

The newest round of Riverfest boxes will be available for purchase on Monday, June 22nd at 10:00 am. Boxes will cost $50 and can be purchased right at kennebecriverbrewfest.com. From Tuesday, July 28th through Friday, July 31st, boxes can be picked up at the office of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce at 269 Western Ave in Augusta.
