Open Letter To Any One Who is Struggling
I try my hardest to be one of those people that always stays positive and really makes her own happiness. I haven’t always been this way, I really had to retrain my brain to process things in a different light. I knew who I wanted to be and the example I wanted to set for not only my children, but myself.
I truly believe you need to look at the glass half full and not half empty. I believe you should always try to find the good in the bad. I believe we can all do hard things and I also believe that being positive isn’t all about yourself. I believe you should spread your positive vibes to others, from a simple smile at a stranger to making your spouse’s favorite meal for dinner...
As much as I believe in all of those things, at the end of the day though I’m human, just like you. I’m not perfect, I never will be, and I never want to be. I just want to grow everyday and blossom into a better me, but right now the sun just isn't shining enough to make me bloom.
We are living in some pretty strange times, times that’s most of the world has never seen. I’m finding it hard to look at the glass half full and to be honest right now that glass is almost empty. I’m finding it hard to find the good in the bad... I’m just finding it hard to find the positive side of most things.
But just like you, I need to remember these times will pass. Our lives will go back to normal; it might not be right away and it might not look like the normal we have come accustom to, but it will happen!
So If you are struggling like I am, PLEASE know you are not alone in this. Reach out to your friends, family and medical professionals and don't be ashamed or afraid to ask for help. We truly are in this together and need to lean on each other for emotional support now more then ever..
"The test of character is not persistence when you expect the light at the end of the tunnel. The truest test is performance and persistence when you see no light coming." - James Arthur Ray
