After the Maine Department of Public Safety issued a Silver Alert and sought your assistance, the Kennebunk man has since been located.

Shannon Moss from the Maine Department of public safety has put out a Silver Alert for a missing Maine man who has cognitive issues.

According to CHP, a "Silver Alert is activated when an elderly, or developmentally or cognitively-impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk."

The press release explains that the Kennebunk Police Department has put out a silver alert for 87 year old David Chandler.

He was last seen at around 2 pm on Wednesday.  That's when he left his home on Huntington Commons Drive in Kennebunk.

Thanks to an Apple Air Tag he has in his wallet, we know that he has spent the last day driving around Saco, Bangor, and Falmouth.  The Air Tag last put his location in Sanford at about 1 pm today.

The Silver Alert has been issued because the Air Tag in his wallet has started to run out of battery power.

David Chandler is described as being:

white male, 5‘10”, 155 lbs., with white hair and blue eyes. He is driving a white 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan with Maine license plate 5289ZJ

If you see him, please call 911 or call the Kennebunk Police Department at 207.324.3644
