Central Maine Woman Arrested Following Lengthy Drug Investigation
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, a woman from Lewiston has been arrested on drug charges.
The press release explains that, for the past several months, agents with the Western District Task Force had been investigating illegal drug trafficking connected to 21-year-old Samantha Ogwudiegwu. Part of that investigation included undercover purchases of fentanyl.
After securing a search warrant, agents along with help from Lewiston Police searched her home on Granite Street on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Inside the residence they reportedly found 167 grams of cocaine, nearly 8 grams of fentanyl, more than 1,100 Oxycodone pills, 60 Xanax pills, 30 grams of mushrooms, two handguns, and an AR 15 pistol.
She has been charged with several crimes, including 4 Counts of Aggravated Trafficking Schedule W Drugs Class A.
Her bail has been set at $12,500.
*NOTE - All suspects are considered innocent until being found guilty in a court of law
Ogwudiegwu is now waiting for her first appearance in Androscoggin County Unified Court, where prosecutors say more charges could follow.
