It looks as though the remains of a Maine man missing since May 2025 may have been located in the woods in Damariscotta.

An article on the WGME website explains that authorities are investigating after human remains were found over the weekend.

Per the article, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a landowner was walking his property line Sunday afternoon at around 4:30 when he came across the remains in a wooded area.

Deputies believe the remains are those of 34-year-old Tyler Low of Damariscotta. Low was reported missing by his family back on May 5, 2025. He was last seen leaving his home and heading into the woods.

Low’s family has been notified. The remains have been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for further examination and confirmation of identity. The cause of death is still under investigation.
