Do you have a stash of books at home collecting dust and not being put to good use? Did you know that you can actually donate them to local programs that will then disperse them to those in need?

That's right; you can actually donate your gently and very well-loved books for others in your local community to read. According to a Facebook post made by the United Way of Kennebec Valley, they are hosting a Drive-thru Book Drive on Thursday, June 24th. The Book Drive will kick off at 3:30 pm and wrap up around 5:30 pm.

Book donations can be of any age range—anything from infant books to young adults and even books for first-time readers, any gently used books. You've got roughly a week, so grab a box and start filling it now and then swing by the Augusta Civic Center on June 24th and make your donation.
