Dozens of Maine, New Hampshire, & New York Residents Have Fallen Prey to the Shocking Tactics of the ‘Fentanyl Robbery Gang’
For years, we have been hearing about despicable drug dealers who were cutting their drugs with deadly fentanyl, but this is the first time that we have heard about the drug being used to rob people.
According to an article on the Fall River Reporter website, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the arrest of seven people connected with the crimes committed by the ‘Fentanyl Robbery Gang’.
United States Attorney General Gerard M. Karam said the indictment indicates that the arrests were connected with the Fentanyl Robbery Gang, which is reportedly connected to major gangs in New York.
In addition to allegedly trafficking drugs, the gang reportedly prowled dating websites and dating apps in order to connect with people who wanted to hire prostitutes. Once the connection was made, they would set up a time to meet with the intention of robbing the target. In order to prevent the target from putting up a fight, they were offered narcotics that were often laced with fentanyl. If the target refused the drugs, they were forcibly given fentanyl.
If the drugs failed to incapacitate the targets quickly enough, the gang would simply rob them through a home invasion.
