It seems to be a continuation of a phishing scam that started back in September but now several reports including an Ohio Police Department are reporting that even people without Netflix accounts are being targeted. The email urges people to click on a link in the email to update billing information but instead of taking you to the real Netflix website it takes you to a spoofed website that attempts to collect your personal information.

Netflix reminds users to remember an official Netflix email will not ask for personal info such as credit card number, Social Security number or your account password.

If you think you've received a phishing emails or text, Netflix urges you to forward it to phishing@netflix.com. CLICK HERE to view the dedicated help section Netflix has setup with additional information.
