According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, authorities are investigating the death of a man in a remote part of Hancock County.

The press release explains that, on Tuesday afternoon at around 3:30, investigators from the Maine State Police Northern Field Troop were called to the 32000 Road in Township 41.  That’s in northern Hancock County, just off the Stud Mill Road.

Troopers found a man, later identified as 70-year-old David Bridges of Kennebunk, deceased in a bog near the roadway.  It appeared he had been out fur trapping in the area.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta will determine the cause and manner of death, but investigators say it does not appear suspicious.

The Maine Warden Service assisted at the scene.
