A Preview of the 4th of July Weather Forecast For Maine & New Hampshire

The 4th of July is one of those holidays that nearly everyone can get behind.

It doesn't matter what religion you are, what your ethnic background is, or whether you vote red or blue (or purple), almost all of us celebrate the 4th of July.

That being said, it is one of the mot weather dependent holidays that we celebrate here in the United States.  Yes, persevere even when the big day is cold & wet or when it is a real scorcher, but it does take away from the enjoyment just a little bit.  The weather can cause us to modify our plans for celebrating Independence Day.

The Fourth of July Weather Forecast

According to the National Weather Service, Central Maine will see lots of sun and hot temperatures.  With a high temperature of 95, you are going to want to make sure you stay cool and stay hydrated.

Southern Maine will be sunny with highs around 89 degrees.

Northern Maine will be sunny, but windy.  The high for the day will be about 85 degrees, and there is a chance that the Houlton-area could see thunderstorms in the afternoon.

In the Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire, it will be mostly sunny with a high of 95 degrees.

On the New Hampshire Seacoast, it will be sunny and hot with a high of around 97 degrees.
