KVCAP Needs Volunteer Drivers In Kennebec & Somerset Counties
According to Centralmaine.com, the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program, also known as KVCAP is in desperate need of volunteer drivers in both Kennebec and Somerset Counties. Volunteers will shuttle people to medical and other types of appointments.
Volunteers drivers will be required to use their personal vehicles during transportation duties but they will be reimbursed for their mileage. Volunteers aren't expected to fill a certain amount of hours each week, anytime donated is appreciated whether it be 2, 10, or 20 hours a week.
Anyone interested in volunteering can reach out via phone at 207-859-1631.
Here are the final totals of our 3rd annual Camp Out Hunger food drive according to Captain Keith Davis from the Salvation Army. Together as a community here in Central Maine came together and raised 41,000 pounds of food! After doing a little math, Keith told us that's a retail value of $112,000.00 in food donations! That's $112,000.00, not including our total cash donations of $10,000!
Thank you times a billion, because there is absolutely NO way we could have done it without YOU!
