According to WMTW, Bangor's Benjamin Parker is in trouble after allegedly using a Bible has a weapon during an attempted vehicle theft.

The incident happened on Sunday when a man and his family stopped along West Broadway Street to take some photos.  A few minutes later, the man spotted Parker jumping into the driver's seat of the family SUV.

As he attempted to stop the theft of his vehicle, Parker allegedly started hitting the victim with a Bible.  The victim was able to pull Parker out of the vehicle and Parker ran off.

Police found Parker hiding on Cedar Street.

Already on probation for felony criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, Parker has been charged with robbery and assault and probation violation.
