Maine Gas Prices Rise

After about two months of weekly drops in gas prices, prices inched higher this past week in Maine. That's according to the price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com. They reported on Monday that gas prices in Maine were up one penny this past week to an average of $3.39 a gallon.

The lowest gas price in Maine was reported in Saco at $3.23 a gallon.

The lowest average gas price in the country is in Oklahoma with a gallon of gas averaging $2.89.

Eight states had an average under $3.00 for a gallon of gas.

The lowest gas price I could find was at a Houston, Texas area station, with a gallon of gas costing $2.56.
