Maine Gas Prices Down 2 Cents This Week

As summer is winding down, gas prices have consistently and slowly have dropped over the past few weeks. According to the price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com, the average retail cost of a gallon of gas has fallen two cents this past week to $3.67.Maine is still 10 cents per gallon higher than the national average.

New Hampshire has the lowest average gas price in New England with a gallon of gas costing on average $3.62 per gallon.

The lowest average gas prices in the country are in South Carolina at $3.19.

The lowest gas prices in Maine are found in Belfast at $3.50 a gallon.
